Welding Summer Camp 2012

Explore the exciting field of welding!  You’ll learn the basics of welding technology with an emphasis on Shielded Metal Arc (Stick) welding and Gas Metal Arc (MIG) wire welding on low carbon steel.  You’ll gain hands-on experience with welding equipment, including the opportunity to complete a welding-art project that you will take home.

Previous welding experience is not necessary!  Your camp instructors are MCCC and MHS faculty Registration deadline: one week prior to start date. 

Six sections being offered for boys and girls grades 9-12th. Summer Camp for welding meets at Monroe High School, I-Wing Welding Lab.

Please note:  The welding camp is being offered free of charge through A U.S. Department of Labor Community Based Job Training Grant # CB-18204-09-60-A-26 of the Industrial Technology Division of  Monroe County Community College, Monroe, Michigan.

* Enrollment is limited to one section per student
